The “Meraki"  collection of vessels plays with the use of imagined marble from another planet. The vessels follow a vocabulary of refined classical form, where only two curves and one straight line are used per profile. By pairing an alien geology  with simple and timeless shapes, the origin of their existence becomes a curiosity. It's with this curious nature that we discover the surfaces read as maps, revealing the very process of layering and machining that created them.

 

“Meraki” is Greek for doing something with soul, creativity, or love : where one puts "something of them self" into their practice. This is reflected in Nic’s passion to nurture new ideas, master his craft and  evoke an entirely new substrate of desire.
